From the fight for freedom to the fight for inclusivity
year:2023
linza agency together with the NGO Dostupno.UA have developed a social project to support people affected by the war. It launched an information and motivational campaign as part of the IREX veterans’ reintegration program
The project was aimed at motivating people with war-related disabilities to return to active social life despite the challenges associated with disability. To provide them with psychological support, as well as relevant and clear information to help them cope with these challenges: paperwork, rehabilitation, employment, etc.
Not everyone is lucky enough to get rehabilitated abroad, or to have access to information about their disability. The goal of the campaign was to convey the message that disability is not a sentence. It was important to show real-life examples of people who continue to live their lives to the fullest.
That is why, with the participation of Oleksandr Budko (call sign “Teren” – soldier), we created three informational and training videos and one social promo video about the habilitation of people with musculoskeletal injuries.
In addition, a social campaign poster with a QR code directing to the created videos was also placed in public spaces.

Through the viewer’s empathy for the protagonist, we want to draw public attention to an important social group of people who were injured or lost limbs during the war. This group of people is vulnerable and needs a social hero who will speak frankly about his way to the military, during the fighting and about the moment of injury. This is a call for the society to not ignore such people. Unfortunately, the number of people with disabilities is increasing during the Russian aggression.
Our task is to ensure a comfortable life for veterans when they return home. We cannot allow them to be demotivated and lose faith in their future. Life after injury exists, and it can be whatever you want it to be! Using the example of Teren’s story, we wanted to show other soldiers that they are full-fledged members of society, that there are many organizations and centers that help them adapt and find themselves in a new reality.
Campaign results:
Total coverage of the information and motivation campaign for individuals affected by war: 10,085,712+ people.
Project partners:
IREX Reintegration Program supported by the U.S. State Department.
